Superstars for a day
Our love story doesn’t involve any earth-shattering moments, but instead, we built our relationship on a steady, unbreakable promise. I’d just gotten into university that year, and as newbies, we became the responsibility of our kind-hearted seniors, who took it upon themselves to show us the ropes. He was my senior, and I remember when we first met, something just clicked. It’s been 8 years since we said goodbye to the ivory tower of academia. We’re both working hard for our future, because we’ve always known that this day would come. The day when I would walk down a rose petal-covered aisle is finally here.
We decided to capture our favourite milestones in a wedding album. In Paris, where the only word I knew was ‘Bonjour’, I was dressed in a radiant white gown, looking out to the distance at the Eiffel Tower. A band of street performers played us the wedding march, and for a day, we lived the lives of celebrities. People cheered as we walked past, and clamoured for photographs with us. As we posed for our photographer, we channelled this positive energy and gave it our best shot. This high-profile shoot was a far cry from our laid-back personalities, but it was also one of the most exhilarating moments we’d ever experienced.
