Cheers to a lifetime of happiness
We were high school students 12 years ago – the first time I saw her was at the school canteen. I spent a considerable amount of effort getting hold of her MSN address, and we started chatting online. In order to get her attention, I always went out of my way to tease her. I’d always steal the rubberband from her ponytail, and she would run after me but to no avail, so I ended up with quite a collection of rubberbands. Teasing aside, I loved to make her laugh. She always turned up her nose at my jokes, but I knew she found them funny. She’s incredibly intelligent, and loves creating surprises. She tells me that she loves my sense of humour and determined spirit. To me, love is like a superglue that sticks the two of us together.
Our pre-wedding photoshoot also doubled as a mini honeymoon, so we went to the beautiful city of Prague. At the Old Town Square, we bumped into a group of Canadian university bandmates who were there to record their music video. Not one to pass up a golden opportunity, we asked them for a group photo. Not only did they agree on the spot; they even played a few songs for us live. Drawn by the interesting combination, many passers-by came up to us, wanting a photograph. Having so many people celebrate this sacred moment with us was indeed a heart-warming experience. After all, love should be celebrated without prejudice.
